MD has been a fan of Sewaholic patterns for a few months now. Ever since Erica proposed teaching the Minoru Jacket pattern (I have now made three!) we have been great supporters of Tasia’s patterns. She makes patterns to flatter the pear shaped body. Yes, that’s me and so many others. Baby got back! When… Read more »

The Dolman Top
Sewing projects at MD spread around the staff like wildfire. One minute we are all working on quilts, the next machine embroidery, and currently is seems to be knits. We are all crazy right now sewing (and teaching) knit patterns, from dresses to t-shirts, the Renfrew (love) and leggings: check out these classes.

You frequently see the tucks in multiple parallel rows, which the grooves on the bottom of the presser foot help to align. BERNINA has a… Read more »

We are excited to be entering a new chapter of kids sewing classes at MD. While we are totally bummed to see Shelly Figueroa step away from teaching all the kids sewing classes, we are so happy for the fabulous growth of her beautiful children’s pattern line: Figgy’s Patterns. Shelly brought light-hearted fun, a great attitude, and… Read more »
