Learn to sew and discover the joy of refreshing your couch or bed quickly by making simple pillowcases. This class will take someone who has never before touched a sewing machine all the way through completing a project. You will learn machine basics, all about fabric, sewing terminology, and how to use basic cutting tools and other sewing equipment. You will leave with confidence working on a straight forward project that can get you going into further sewing adventures.

- Pillow form (20″ square is the prefered size, any square will work, MD has 20″ forms available for purchase)*
- For the front of your pillow: 3/4 yard fabric; either quilt weight, home dec weight or other. You have as many options for pillows as you can imagine, just be sure your fabric is machine washable and please have it washed, dried, and pressed for class.
- For the back of the pillow: 3/4 yard fabric; same as above (you can have it match the front or contrast fabric for the front of your pillow)
- If you are using the same fabric for the front and back of your pillow, one yard is enough for both the front and back.
